The American Lobster (Homarus americanus) is one of the most valuable and sought-after seafood species in the world, found along the Atlantic coast of North America from Labrador to New Jersey. Working closely with commercial fishermen and leading lobster fleets, Livingston Lures developed and deployed its innovative Lobster Caller technology to help improve catch efficiency while reducing operational costs.

Powered by Livingston’s proven EBS™ (Electronic Baitfish Sound) Technology, the Lobster Caller emits natural acoustic signals that research and field testing have shown can attract crustaceans and other aquatic species. After multiple seasons of testing under demanding commercial fishing conditions, fleets utilizing the Lobster Caller reported catch increases of approximately 20–25% compared to traps without the technology. In addition, research conducted by St. Mary’s University concluded that traps equipped with Lobster Callers demonstrated a 60% higher retention rate compared to traps utilizing bait alone.
